On this page I would like to tell you one of the most thrilling adventure in my life. A few years back while on vacation in Florida I decided experience the thrill of what it would be like to drive a stock car. I called and made the reservation. I drove to Walt Disney World Speedway. I walked into the trailer and signed in and read & signed the usual paperwork. I really don't remember how many other people where there to experience now but I do remember there there where quite a few.

They took about myself and six other people in a van and drove us around the track so we could be familiar with the track. They put up different sized cones so we would know where to execrate and when to take our foot off the gas. The had paint on the track one on the right and one on the left. That would tell you where to drive. You just drive in-between the paint strips.

Everyone there was a professional and had a lot of experience. They were excited as we were about living out our dream.

We got back from our tour of our track and received our fire retrained driving suits to wear. Then one of the most hardest things. WAITING FOR YOUR NAME TO BE CALLED!

They called out my name and then the butterflies really started. They took my picture standing outside the car. (I saw one painted up like Dale Earnhardt's but unfortunately I didn't get that one.) I got in and they took another picture of myself inside the car. I got my final instructions and got strapped in. When I was strapped in I could only move my legs and arms. Nothing else could move. Which was alright because the rear view mirror was big enough to see everything behind me. Then the car started and the butterflies went away.

I went out on the track with another student with an instructor leading the way. All we have to do is follow the instructor and drive inbetween the paint strips. They had someone in the "Start/Finish" line giving us had signals. I was so nervous that I stalled the car out a couple of times.

I did my laps and when I was done I felt like I just won the Daytona 500. I received my Diploma as a Graduate of "The Richard Petty Driving Experience. Something that I will never forget as long as I live.
